Air duct fabrication, repair and cleaning in Central Washington
We build custom galvanized ductwork in our own Yakima shop, and we find and fix the leaks that cost you comfort.
Chapter 01
Where the air goes missing
Many heating and cooling problems that look mechanical start in the ducts. The U.S. Department of Energy finds that leaky ducts can lower your system's efficiency by up to 30 percent. Leaks also pull dust, moisture, bacteria and pests into the airstream, which can trigger allergies and asthma.
The giveaways are higher utility bills in winter and summer, rooms that never get comfortable, uneven temperatures, and flexible ducts that are visibly tangled or kinked. Poor insulation causes inconsistencies of its own, so we recommend casing your ducts properly.

Ductwork built in our own shop
Custom sheet-metal fabrication is fast becoming a lost art, and we still do it. Every system we install is built in-house to SMACNA standards and current code. Greg Lunning, a full-time member of our staff, runs the plasma table and builds the fittings to measure, so you get smooth galvanized sheet metal with low static-inducing fittings, not a bundle of off-the-shelf parts.
The most common mistake in the trade is abusing flex duct, which restricts airflow. We limit it to its proper use: terminating branch runs of three to five feet. We seal the ductwork to meet or exceed the mechanical code, and everything outside the conditioned envelope is insulated.
If you suspect leakage, one of our professionals can take a pressurized reading to find out whether the system is losing too much air and advise whether it needs replacement. We collaborate with other contractors on new homes and additions. You get a free consultation and an upfront estimate.
Chapter 03
Cleaning, repair and what to do each year
Over time ducts collect dust and debris, and sometimes mildew, mold or pests. The National Air Duct Cleaners Association recommends cleaning every three to five years, and right away after a remodel or if you find mice or cockroaches in the house.
A punctured duct can usually be patched or insulated quickly, and repairs come with an upfront estimate and our warranty. Your ducts are included in the inspection, cleaning and tune-up of the whole system, and our Maintenance Plans add priority service and discounts on labor and parts. Call 509-248-6380, day or night, if a duct problem cannot wait.
