Air conditioning installation, repair and tune-ups in Yakima

We replace, repair and tune air conditioners of every make across Yakima and Central Washington, with emergency service when the heat will not wait.

Chapter 01

When the air coming out of the vents is warm

An unusual noise, a burning smell, warm air from the vents, a frozen unit or water leaking where it should not are all signs your air conditioner needs attention. Ignore them and the problem usually gets bigger and more expensive. Having a technician diagnose it promptly is the cheaper path.

The other signal is age and arithmetic. Most air conditioners reach the end of their life between 15 and 20 years. If repairs are coming more often, or your energy bills are climbing while your utility rates stay the same, the system is running longer to do less. Plan the replacement on your terms instead of waiting for it to quit in a July heat wave.

Designed to the house, not to a catalogue

In heating and air conditioning, one size does not fit all, and we never take the one-size approach. A replacement starts with room-by-room heat gain calculations in Carrier, Wrightsoft and Loop CAD software. Then we pick the equipment, usually Carrier, and compare SEER2 ratings against what you run now.

The air side is where we differ from most. The ducts that feed your new unit are built in our own shop to SMACNA standards from smooth galvanized sheet metal, with flex duct held to three to five foot terminating branches. Sealed joints, and insulation on everything outside the conditioned space, keep the cool air you paid for inside the house.

We service all major brands and every make and model of air conditioner, including ones we did not install. Repairs are made with quality parts, they come with our warranty, and we offer financing with approved credit.

Chapter 03

The spring tune-up

We recommend having us prepare your air conditioner in the spring, before you run it for the first time, so you get consistent cooling all season. A visit includes inspecting, cleaning and tuning the system. With annual care you can expect better efficiency, a longer life for the equipment and fewer emergencies.

The tune-up is built into our Maintenance Plans. The 21-point inspection covers refrigerant pressures, the outdoor coil, the condensate drain and the electrical connections. If it does fail on a hot weekend anyway, call 509-248-6380 and the emergency line is staffed 24-7.
