About us · Established 1974

Heating and cooling, built from sheet metal up

All Seasons Heating & Air Conditioning was established in 1974, with a heritage going back to the 1950s via Buren Sheet Metal, a local company that manufactured their own oil furnaces. We are a design/build HVAC company providing services for home and office, all the way up to industrial ventilation and everything in between, and we have been a proud Carrier partner all these years.

While we have performed work in several states and Mexico, we take the greatest pride in our local projects. We are active all year long replacing HVAC units in private homes and businesses with the latest Carrier high-efficiency products.

One trade, handed down

From a furnace shop to the company you call today

  1. 1950s

    Buren Sheet Metal

A local Yakima shop that manufactured its own oil furnaces. This is where the heritage starts, and why sheet metal is still the centre of how we work.

  2. 1962

    Terry Poe walks in

Straight from high school, Terry Poe got his footing in heating, ventilation and air conditioning under the tutelage of Charley Buren.

  3. 1974

    All Seasons is formed

Terry and his partners bought the Carrier franchise from Buren Sheet Metal to form All Seasons Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc., and grew it into the premier HVAC company in Yakima.

  4. 2013

    The handoff

Sadly, Terry died in 2013. He handed All Seasons to Russ Frenzel and Doug Puhrmann, key All Seasons employees who, with pride, carry on the tradition he established.

  5. Today

    Around 30 people

A staff of around 30, a working sheet-metal shop at 302 S. 3rd Avenue, and the same habit of standing behind our work.

In heating & air conditioning, one size does NOT fit all.

We never take the “spandex approach” to our customer’s needs. Custom design, build, and installation is our hallmark.

Custom fit and finish require craftsmanship both in the field and in our shop. We do not cut corners to be more price competitive, because a system done right holds greater value than one done cheaply.

The craft

What sets us apart is how the air gets to the room

Custom designs that look professional and function beautifully. Knowing how to design ductwork that is durable and works well with the paired equipment is a skill at which we excel.

  • Built in-house to SMACNA

All our systems are built in-house to SMACNA standards and current code requirements. Custom sheet metal fabrication is fast becoming a lost art, and we keep it going in our own shop.

  • Flex-duct has a place, and it is short

A common mistake most companies make is the abuse of flex-duct. It is highly restrictive to air flow. We limit it to its proper application: three to five feet terminating branch runs. The rest of the system is smooth galvanized sheet metal made of low static-inducing fittings.

  • Sealed and insulated

We seal the ductwork to meet or exceed the high standards of the mechanical code, and everything beyond the conditioned envelope is insulated. The result is a distribution system that is efficient, quiet, and delivers the air the equipment requires.

  • Designed room by room

Our designs are based on room-by-room heat loss and gain calculations, using industry-leading design software by Carrier, Wrightsoft, and Loop CAD. We produce in-house AutoCAD drawings for permits and to coordinate with you, so you know exactly what you are getting.

  • Faster when it is a change-out

Not every project needs that tool set. For swapping old, tired equipment for new Carrier gear we use our own in-house software, built to quickly show you the best matches in Carrier's deep product line for your replacement.

In the shop

Greg Lunning, sheet-metal wizard

Our full-time staff member, Greg Lunning, is a true sheet-metal wizard. He blends high technology plasma table accuracy with old school artistry, creating beautiful build-to-measure fittings for any project we design.

That is the part of the job a catalog cannot sell you, and it is why our ductwork looks and performs the way it does.

Who runs it now

Two key employees who kept the tradition

Russ Frenzel and Doug Puhrmann were key All Seasons employees when Terry Poe handed them the company in 2013. They carry on, with pride, the tradition Terry established.

Our staff is certified and tested to NATE standards. We maintain proper licenses for all the work we perform, stay current on all applicable codes, and have the finest craftsmen in the valley, who have earned and proudly exhibit our Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer designation.

We take pride in installing the highest quality heating and cooling systems available, and standing behind our work.
